District Health Boards (DHB) recognized early the importance of the health and disability workforce development to the future health and disability sector. Chief Executives signed off on Future Workforce as DHBs strategic plan to progress the goal of a coherent, sector wide approach to developing the health and disability workforce.
The Allied health Workforce Strategy Group (AH WSG) is one of six strategy groups set up by CEOs in 2005 to deliver on the objectives of Future Workforce.
