There are a number of tools available that describe leadership competencies. To ensure that there is a common language around competencies across the DHBs, the Lominger Leadership Architect® has been endorsed by the General Managers Human Resources as the preferred tool. Lominger is a set of leadership competencies collated by Mike Lombardo and Bob Eichinger as a result of significant research and empirical studies.
The Lominger Leadership Architect® is already in use and well accepted within many DHBs as well as a wide range of public sector agencies.
