A component of this project is the design of generic fixed facility dental surgeries. All DHBs have joined collectively to complete this design work once, with the final plans & designs being made available to all DHBs to use. By working collectively on this project we tap into national expertise and save all that effort, cost and duplication of work.
Canterbury DHB are facilitating the design process and have technical consultants engaged who are providing design expertise.
Based on the earlier dissemination of the initial draft concept design plans, all DHBs have provided prompt and valuable feedback. The Oral Health Fixed Facility Design Executive Advisory Group (EAG) met on 21 May to review the collective feedback, identify common themes, and, where possible and practical, to incorporate those ideas in the final designs.
Below is a DVD copy of a ‘walk-through’ of the 4 Chair, Level 2 Fixed Facility Design incorporating recommended changes and suggestions from all DHBs.
