The PHO Performance Governance Group comprises 12 members from 3 constituencies who have been mandated by their respective constituencies. The constituencies are:
The PHO Performance Governance Group is responsible for the following:
a. Approving medium to long term strategic directions for the Programme, taking into account sector engagement, Advisory Group advice; DHB, PHO, Provider and MOH accountabilities, mandating and decision making processes, and a demonstrable focus on population health and health inequalities
b. Approving an Annual Plan for the Programme within agreed medium term parameters, taking into account advice received, implementation implications, including any national contractual changes that may be required
c. Consolidation of consensus and mandate from constituencies
d. Decision making on:
e. Decision making by Consensus
f. Communication of decisions to key stakeholders
g. Advice to MOH and DHBs (in their accountability functions regarding policy, budget, implementation of Primary Health Care Strategy) about:
h. Agreeing the process for appointment of Advisory Group members to ensure an appropriate mix of skills and expertise is available
i. Endorsing the membership of the Advisory Group
j. Receiving timely reports from the Advisory Group.
