Technical Network

The Technical Network supports the data and reporting requirements for the performance indicators, and calculates and administers the performance payments in a nationally consistent manner. 

The core component of the Technical Network is an experienced technical team consisting of analysts from Shared Service Agencies (SSAs), DHBNZ and the Ministry of Health Primary Health team (MoH PHT).  This team will:

• develop, design and test the PHO Performance Management database, reporting facility, and payment system;
• provide technical training to service users entering the Programme;
• provide a central information system and help desk;
• provide local analysis and interpretation of reports and data on an ongoing basis;
• participate in future development work.  The nature of this Programme requires further development over a period of time.

RSM Formula Group

The equitable expenditure formula for pharmaceutical and laboratory services has been developed by the Ministry of Health with support from a technical expert group that includes members from DHBs, PHOs, Shared Services Agencies (SSAs) and PHARMAC. This formula will be further developed and modified over time.
